Corporate meets start-up Australia

The new
Ying and Yang
in our Economy

Current technological, demographic, political and economic changes are creating an opportunity-rich environment for businesses.

With all this change taking place however, many large corporations’ focus has been towards improving existing strengths, reacting to identified problems and ensuring compliance and conformance, compromising on the O in their SWOT-analysis. As a result, these organisations lack the skill and experience to benefit from the aforementioned changes.

Who is benefiting from these changes is a fast-emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem. These start-ups are dexterous, agile, driven by a ‘what’s next’ mind-set and are rapidly becoming the creative fuel in our economy. This is the new competitive advantage in our ever-changing environment; a new Yin and Yang in the Australian economy.

Corporate meets start-up Australia

The David
Goliath Series.

In light of the changes to our economy, the David meets Goliath series was launched in June 2017 – a unique forum to bringing corporate and start-up Australia together. Our events will showcase selected examples on how corporations and start-ups are able to complement each other by benefiting from an asset-rich infrastructure of a corporation while simultaneously exploring entrepreneurial potential. We will portray how to resolve contractual challenges through dealing with differences in culture, leadership, growth rates, ambition and most importantly, how this relationship transformed from a journey filled with roadblocks into a success story.
